UnGLUED™

UnGLUED™ is an advanced, patent-pending adhesive removal system designed to eliminate pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs) and all types of flooring glues and mastics — including water-based, solvent-based, and asbestos-containing mastics.

Unlike mechanical or abrasive removal methods that can release dangerous airborne contaminants, UnGLUED™ softens and encapsulates the adhesive, allowing contaminated material to be safely collected and contained. This makes it ideal for asbestos-related remediation projects and environments where worker safety and environmental compliance are critical.

Surface Preparation (Before Application)

All flooring must be completely removed

Adhesives/mastics must be fully exposed

Surface must be free of pooled water or liquids

Remove loose foreign material prior to application

Product Format – Two-Part System

UnGLUED™ is supplied as a two-part system:

Part A – Liquid (pail)

Part B – Powder (bag)

Mixing Instructions (Summary):

Add Part B (powder) into Part A (liquid)

Mix thoroughly using a mud mixer, box mixer, or similar tool

Mix until a creamy, paste-like consistency is achieved (approx. 7–10 minutes)

Mix only in the exact pack quantities supplied

Do not dilute with water

There is no pot life (not an epoxy or coating), but mixing should be done onsite when needed to avoid contamination or premature drying.

Application Instructions (Summary)

Apply by roller to fully cover the adhesive-contaminated substrate

Allow to dwell

Remove softened adhesive and collect material for disposal

Dwell Time

2 hours to overnight (up to 12 hours) depending on temperature

Colder temperatures require longer dwell times

Dwell time also depends on:

Age of adhesive

Type of adhesive

Thickness and condition of material

Coverage
