If you are just getting into Rubber Paving or are already involved, PowerCOAT is now stocking Mortar Mixers from Forestwest Tools.
This Forestwest 120L Screed Mortar Mixer BM679 has a large 120L drum capacity, powered by a high-torque electric motor. Constructed with heavy duty steel. The mixer is perfect for mixing sand, cement, mortar, rubber, concrete, etc. With 4 mixing blades positioned at a different heights, it will mix each load properly and efficiently.
- 2HP (1,500W) high-torque motor.
- 120L drum capacity and about 80L mixing capacity.
- The drum is built for heavy duty work.
- Automatic safety cut-off on this force action mixer ensures safe operation.
- 4 mixing blades ensure each load is mixed properly.
- Quad wheel design allows single worker to load and unload.
PPG Pitt-Tech+EP is an Environmentally Preferred (EP) Product now that the VOC’s have been lowered to <50g/L. With this new formulation, it is now ideal for Institutional Facilities where odor is always a concern when painting is completed while staff and guests are using the facility. This is a light Industrial Product that can be used both indoors and outdoors with the durability of an Alkyd, but with all the benefits of a Water-based Acrylic paint.
Because it is a DTM (Direct-to-Metal) product it can be applied to properly repaired metal directly. For bare metal it is best to apply a primer, but if not, then 2 coats will be required to assure proper flash rust protection.
Because of the fast drying characteristics, it is ideal for outdoor projects where dust and bugs can create issues, plus you can recoat quickly to complete your job faster knowing you have a durable coating.
Great for metal doors both inside and outside. A preferred product for Garage doors, but can be used on any metal surface.

- Re-coating of metal building (properly prepped with Prep 88)
- Outdoor furniture, including vinyl and plastics because of it being 100% Acrylic
- Lamp posts, Fire-hydrants, signs, etc.
- Power Plants, piping, etc.

- Outdoor steel decking frames or railings at the lake
Because it comes in all 3 preferred sheens, the application is endless. The gloss is often used for safety colours. Extremely durable and washable.
With the new MPI & GreenGuard Qualifications it will be a preferred solution for many commercial jobs, especially if LEED tax Credits are important.

PowerDECK
Summer is here and that means deck coating season is here as well! Last year PowerCOAT introduced our PowerDECK Waterproof Membrane product line and it has been extremely well received!
PowerDECK is a liquid applied, single component, moisture cured urethane that cures into an extremely tough rubber membrane that has incredible adhesion to wood.
Every year we hear about inexperienced applicators applying epoxy or polyaspartic direct to the wood surface as a base coat and this is a recipe for disaster as these products were never meant to be applied to exterior wood surfaces.
PowerDECK has two product application options that can be used to create a very attractive waterproof membrane coating or a less expensive decorative coating over wood substrates.
PowerDECK is not only an attractive coating for your deck but it is also extremely tough coating that can take a lot of abuse. This product is very easy to use and can be professionally applied or applied by a homeowner.
There are limitless color options available in the decorative chip blends so virtually any color scheme can be achieved.
