DeBOND™ Paint & Coating Remover

DeBOND™ is a water-based, spray-on or brush-on paint and coating remover engineered for efficient stripping on large surfaces and detailed areas. Its proprietary bond-breaking and encapsulation technology penetrates coating layers, releases their adhesion to the substrate, and helps keep removed material together for simpler collection and disposal.

Unlike fast-flashing solvent removers, DeBOND™ remains wet while it works. Apply it, allow the coating to lift, then remove the softened material by scraping or pressure washing. Always test a small area first, especially on delicate substrates such as wood, brick, or sandstone.

Efficient Paint Stripping for Demanding Removal Projects

Use DeBOND™ on most indoor or outdoor, vertical or horizontal surfaces where paint removal or coating removal is required. It is suitable for metal, concrete, fiberglass, and many other substrates. Multiple layers can be removed, although heavily built-up systems may require more than one application cycle.

How to Apply DeBOND™

1. Start with a clean, dry surface and complete a test patch to confirm product suitability and dwell time.
2. Apply DeBOND™ by brush for small areas or with an airless sprayer for large areas. Do not atomize the product, and do not use rollers.
3. Apply a full, even layer until the underlying coating is no longer visible. When brushing, use a dabbing motion to deposit product.
4. Protect the treated surface from rain, intense sun, heat, freezing, and disturbance. Do not scrub, agitate, or let the product dry out while it dwells.
5. When the coating darkens, ripples, and lifts, remove it by scraping or pressure washing.

Dwell Time and Project Planning

Typical dwell time ranges from about 1 hour to overnight, up to 12 hours. Some industrial coatings may require up to 24 hours. Actual dwell time depends on coating type, temperature, and substrate conditions. If DeBOND™ begins to dry before the coating has fully released, apply more product. Protect from extreme heat; colder temperatures may require longer dwell times.
